Roles and permissions

Choose the right role and scope for each collaborator.

Every member has a workspace role and a project scope. The role decides what they can do; the scope decides where.

Roles at a glance

  • Owner. Everything, plus billing and ownership transfer. One per workspace.
  • Admin. Manages members, settings, and projects. With access to all projects, an admin manages the workspace itself.
  • Editor. Uploads, edits, and organizes files, manages versions, and creates Share links.
  • Reviewer. Views, comments, and approves. Reviewers cannot see usage or change anything about the project, and can download only through a Share that allows it.

Scope

  • All projects. The role applies to every project, including ones created later.
  • Selected projects. The person sees only the projects you picked, each with its own project role.

Choosing a role

  • A client or stakeholder who signs off: Reviewer, or a Share link with approval enabled if they should not join the workspace at all.
  • An artist producing the work: Editor.
  • A producer who also manages people and settings: Admin.
