Supported files

The file types Proximae accepts and what happens to each on upload.

Proximae accepts four kinds of file. Every upload keeps your original and adds a browser-ready copy for review.

KindExtensionsWhat happens on upload
3D modelsGLB, glTF, OBJ, FBXConverted and optimized into a review copy. Animations are preserved.
ImagesPNG, JPG, JPEG, GIFViewer, 2K, and thumbnail variants are generated. Animated GIFs play.
VideoMP4 (H.264, optional AAC audio)Plays on the review timeline with frame stepping and timecode.
Environment mapsHDR, EXRAvailable as HDRI lighting and backdrops inside the 3D viewer.

A model that references separate texture files, such as an OBJ with an MTL and images or a glTF with external buffers, must be uploaded as one ZIP that contains the model and its dependencies. A ZIP can also carry several independent assets at once as a batch import.

Per-plan size and volume limits are listed in Supported formats and limits. The upload steps themselves are in Upload assets.
