Quick start
Upload a model, leave a comment, share it, and approve a version in one sitting.
This walkthrough takes one model from upload to an approved version. It uses the web app only; nothing needs to be installed.
Before you begin
You need a Proximae account and a workspace. A workspace on the Free plan is enough for everything below.
Steps
Create a project
Open your workspace and choose New project. Give it a name. A project is where the assets for one piece of work live.
Upload a model
Drag a GLB, glTF, OBJ, or FBX file onto the project, or choose Upload files. A model whose textures live in separate files should be zipped together with them first; see Upload assets.
The asset appears at once with a processing status. It is ready to review when the status reads Ready.
Look around
Open the asset. Drag to orbit, drag with the right or middle button to pan, and
scroll to zoom. Press F to frame the model. The full list is in
3D controls.
Press P and click a point on the model to start a comment pinned to that
spot, or press N for a comment that is not attached to the surface. Type the
note and post it. The comment stores the viewpoint it was written from, so
opening it later returns the viewer to the same view.
Share it
From the project, create a Share link that allows comments and approvals, then send the URL. Reviewers open it in a browser with no account. See Create a review link.
Approve the version
When the feedback is addressed, open the version and choose Approve. The approval records who signed off and when, and it stays with that version. Uploading a new version starts a fresh, unapproved one.
