Display settings
Lighting, backgrounds, shading modes, camera, and effects for judging a model.
The viewer's settings menu changes how a model is lit and drawn. The settings a comment was written under are saved with it, so recalling the comment restores them.
Environment lighting
Choose a built-in HDRI environment on any plan. Adjust its Intensity and Rotation to move the light around the model. On Pro and Team, an HDR or EXR file uploaded to the project can be used as a custom environment.
Background
Pick Light, Dark, a Custom Color, or Blurred Background, which shows the environment map behind the model with adjustable brightness, blur, and vignette.
Exposure and tone mapping
Exposure and tone mapping control how the lit result is mapped to the screen. Use them to judge materials under conditions closer to a final render.
Shading modes
Switch between Full shading, Wireframe, Wireframe on shaded, Solid grey, Base color, Vertex colors, and single-channel views for Metalness, Roughness, Specular intensity, Specular color, Opacity, Normals, and Emissive.
Camera
Change the lens and field of view, and switch between perspective and orthographic projection.
Effects
Toggle effects with Shift+E. They include layered transparency for overlapping
translucent surfaces, ambient occlusion, bloom, an adjustable key light, and
ground shadows.
