Send an asset

Export your scene from Blender into a project as a new asset or a new version.

The extension exports the scene to glTF, optimizes it locally, and uploads the result to the project you choose.

Prerequisites

  • You are signed in and have approved uploads. See Connect your account.
  • You are an editor or admin in the target project.

Steps

Choose the destination

In the Proximae sidebar tab, pick the Workspace and Project. Use Refresh if a project created in the web app is not listed yet.

Choose what to send

Under What to send, pick Whole scene, Visible objects, Selected objects, or Active collection.

Open Export Settings to choose how materials are handled: Full materials exports textures and Principled BSDF values; Simple colors uses each material's viewport display color, metallic, and roughness, which suits procedural materials; No materials, keep parts separate and No materials send a gray model. Settings can be saved as presets.

Upload

Choose Upload to Proximae. In the dialog, pick New Asset and give it a name, or New Version and pick the existing asset; search and Load more help in large projects. Confirm with Upload.

Expected result

Progress is shown in the panel while the scene is exported, optimized, and uploaded. When it completes, Open in Proximae opens the asset in the web app, where it processes like any other upload and becomes Ready. Warnings the optimizer raised are saved with the version.

Common problems

  • The upload controls are missing. Choose Allow Uploads to approve the export permission.
  • Upload failed partway. Choose Retry; the same export is resumed without preparing it again. Discard Upload starts over.
  • A material looks wrong. Try Simple colors for node setups the glTF exporter cannot convert.
