Blender troubleshooting
Fix sign-in, optimizer, and upload problems in the Blender extension.
The Proximae tab is missing from the sidebar
- Confirm the extension is installed and enabled under Get Extensions.
- Press
Nin the 3D Viewport to show the sidebar and look for the Proximae tab.
The panel says online access is disabled
Enable Allow Online Access in Blender's preferences under System, then restart Blender.
The optimizer will not install
- The download needs internet access from Blender. On a restricted machine, use Install from archive with the runtime archive for your platform.
- If the install is damaged, choose Repair optimizer under Settings.
- The panel reports where runtimes are installed under Install location.
Sign-in never completes
- Browser approval times out after three minutes. Choose Open Browser Again, or Cancel and try Sign In once more.
- If the page did not open, copy the address Blender shows into a browser on the same machine.
The panel says sign-in lasts until Blender closes
No operating-system credential store was found, so the connection cannot be
saved. On Linux, install a Secret Service provider such as the secret-tool
utility from libsecret. The extension never stores credentials in plain
text.
Retry is the only option
Proximae could not be reached with the saved connection. Check the network and choose Retry. If the connection was revoked from the web app, choose Sign Out and sign in again.
Uploads are refused
- Choose Allow Uploads to approve the export permission in the browser.
- Confirm you are an editor or admin in the target project.
- Check the workspace's monthly upload allowance in Plans and usage.
The model looks different from Blender
The export uses Blender's glTF exporter. Node setups it cannot convert come out plain; choose Simple colors in the export settings, or bake the material. Hidden objects are only included when Whole scene is selected.
