Projects and files
Manage versions
Add a new version, name it, switch between versions, and delete or restore.
Every upload to an existing asset becomes its next version. Earlier versions, their comments, and their approvals stay in place.
Add a version
- Open the asset.
- Upload the new file as a new version, either from the asset's version menu or by dragging the file onto the open asset.
- Wait for the new version to read Ready.
The Blender extension can also add a version directly; see Send an asset.
Switch between versions
Choose a version from the asset's version selector. Comments and approvals shown belong to the selected version.
Delete a version
Editors and admins can delete a version that is no longer needed. This frees a slot under the plan's per-asset version cap. The Free plan holds three versions per asset; Pro and Team have no cap.
Trash and restore an asset
Trashing an asset removes it and all of its versions from the project listing. It stays in the trash and can be restored until it is purged.
